Puzzles

Puzzles
Curve and camber
Trajectories at odds
Fit, then come apart
Disjointed in places
Flat edges and corners
Lock in, sit tight
Bonded

Fragile
Not to lift, nor separate
Links unstable, knocked
Shocking how quickly
Puzzles unravel
As pictures emerge
Exposing patterns formed
Undone

Scattered
Pieces of the puzzle
In place then erased
Begins again, from one
Until the landscape grows
Creating a new scene
The dream, from vapours
Reunited

This poem was inspired by a picture prompt from Kellie Elmore’s Free Write Friday prompt which incidentally I also used in a different way for a recent short story competition entry.
